Good morning, dear judges. It's my great honor to stand here and share with you my teaching design. As you can see, today my topic is my favorite season, and I would like to share my design from the following 6 parts.

To begin with, I want to talk about my theory basis as the English curriculum standards propose to cultivate students language ability, learning ability, culture awareness, and thinking quality under the big idea and core confidence. So I will follow all these principles in my design. As we all know, the teaching material is just like the root of the big tree, and it's of great significance.

So as a teacher, I sort out and analyze the contents of the unit. There are 6 parks in this unit, and I integrate them into 4 periods. What I show you today is the first period. Its theme is seasons, and it belongs to the following contents, human and environment, human and society, human and himself. Since the topic is my favorite season, here are some related language points students have Learned in book 4th and book 5. These are my key points and difficult points. In my opinion, students are like the charm of the victory. My students, they are from grade 5. They have certain amount of knowledge and they have some basic language skills. Also, they are able to work in pairs and in groups. But the challenge is that they have some difficulty in making a new dialogue based on their real life experience.

Here comes to my teaching objectives. I wish to cultivate students language ability, learning ability, culture awareness and thinking quality as the curriculum standards propose. For language ability, I enable students to grasp the key phrases and sentences. For learning ability, I empower students to adapt the key points to make a new dialogue according to the real life experience is. For cultural awareness, I enrich students understanding of each season and raise their awareness of loving the seasons and protecting the environment. For thinking quality, I enhance students critical and creative thinking. Let's move on to my teaching members.

Throughout the whole lesson, there are 3 teaching methods will be adapted. The first one is situational teaching method. I will make up a story background. Students will go to the season park with me. The second one is task based teaching method. Students need to finish several tasks to get the whole understanding of this lesson. And the last one is communicative teaching method.

Students need to work in pairs and in groups to get to know more about the lesson. Of course, some evaluation methods will be adapted as well. For example, I will divide my students into 2 groups and they need to make a competition to see which group will be the winner.

Here comes to the most vital part of my design. That is my teaching procedures. As you can see, I have divided into 3 parts. They are warm up, presentation and practice and the extension.

Let me begin with my warm up. Since the topic is about seasons. So I will share with my student a very wonderful check that is related to seasons. And it elicits to the first word of this lesson, that is seasons. After that, students will work in pairs to talk about the weather of the season. In this part, I lift up the atmosphere and get students focus on the topic. Also, they can get a review of some related language force.

Let's move on to the second part. That is my presentation and practice. Here students need to finish several tasks one by one. Since students have already known the topic is seasons. So with the help of the phonetic symbols and some tech, students got to learn more about each season. I will take spring as an example it is green and with flowers and sauce. What season is it?

After student listen to the tape, they will try to spell with the phonetic symbols. I. E. Spring. E. Spring. Also I try to cultivate students ability of cooperation and self learning. They need to spell the other words with their partner.

Since students have already Learned 5 new words, it elicits to the key sentences of this lesson. I like the best and of course I will ask student which season do you like best? For the dialogue? Students will watch a video and try to find out months and moving things, favorite season and the reasons for oral practice, they will do the dumpling. In this part, I enhance the levels of difficulty gradually, and I try to develop students learn ability.

Here comes to last girl. That is the extension. Since my topic is seasons, so I will share a wonderful video that is about a beautiful scenery in China it's also for moral education purpose. Students got to know that life has seasons. In this part, I try to base students awareness of loving the seasons and protecting the environment. Here comes to my homework design. Students will make a laptop just like this one. They will talk about their favorite seasons and they can discuss with their partner the weather, the clothes and the related activities on the season. After that, they can also write down some sentences at backside.

For this homework, I wish students can combine in class knowledge with real life experience. Here comes to my record design. It clearly and directly shows the key sentence and the words of this lesson. So it's easy for student to get a whole understanding.

Here are the highlights of my lesson. I plan my lesson with unique integrated theory. I have this skeleton to my class very clear. And also I have the practical homework. In my opinion, education is like planting a tree. I always believe that with more love, kindness and patience, students will grow and flourish just like this trip.
